Carbon Emissions from Agricultural Inputs in China over the Past Three Decades

Global warming has become one of the major threats to security human survival, security, and sustainable development. Agricultural production been widely suspected as main sources anthropogenic carbon emissions. Analyzing changing characteristics influencing factors agricultural emissions is great significance for mitigation global climate change development in agriculture. Taking China, a large country, an example, this study used empirical model quantify from inputs 1991 2019, analyzed driving using ridge regression. We found that China have on rise past 30 years, but at markedly slower pace. From 2008 average annual growth rate was 1.47%, down significantly 2.92% between 2007. The per unit planting area showed overall increasing trend, which grew 179.35 t ce/km2 246.26 ce/km2, with 1.13%. output mainly decreasing decreased 0.52 kg ce/CNY 0.06 ce/CNY, −7.42%. China’s were closely related macro-policies. Fertilizer inputs, industry structure, energy use intensity positively correlated emission intensity. degree urban feedback rural areas, public investment agriculture, large-scale negatively intensity, impacts these had “lag effect”.
